Dominican government departments have signed an agreement with the Board of International Cultural, Tourism and Commercial Services of the Italian region of Le Marche.
Executive assistant director of the Dominican government agency Proindustria, Fausto Araujo, described the agreement signed in Italy as "transcendental and totally innovative." He said that it would give an unprecedented impulse to the sustainable industrialization of the grape and fishing industries.
The agreement was signed by Raimondo Orsetti, director general of the Department of Internationalization of Le Marche Region in Italy, and Jose Pena, national director of the National Grape Institute, together with Araujo, representing Proindustria. The agreement provides for technological transfer as well as cultural exchanges.
