During a ceremony at the National Police headquarters in Santo Domingo, US Embassy Charge d'affaires Roland Bullen donated, on behalf of the United States, hi-tech equipment to be used to detect explosives. The donation also covers training 15 people in the use of the equipment. The donation by the US is worth a total of US$600,000. Police Chief Rafael Guillermo Guzman Fermin says the equipment will help modernize the National Police and thanked the US government for their support.
