I am no expert on this, so guys like D.Wolf, Mr. H, and P2 could explain much better. Pal Alba's is a unique thing down in the D.R., that is considered somewhat of a social club. It is not a club that you can go in see someone you like and then salida her(pay bar fine) from the house, take her back to your hotel and have sex with her. That is not how it works.

These social clubs are visited by Dominican men of some means, and they are all over the place. The women that are there work mostly as hostesses, but they can be available and often are when they are not working or on their days off, that has nothing to do with the house, that just depends how your conversation with the chica goes. If you don't speak spanish, they are basically a waste to go into, because for the most part you wouldn't have a chance there. These are not full time putas, although they are not against getting a little financial help, for their affection. The reason why some of these clubs have such a high turnover in the chicas is because a rich Dominican will go in, and see one he likes, will talk to her and make arrangements for her to be his "beeper" type girl, or if he likes her enough put her on some sort of stipend to be available when he wants her.

Everytime I have been in any of these types of clubs, I or the people I was with were the only "gringos" in the place. To get the chicas in these clubs assimilation is your best tool. Normally you would buy them a few drinks, have some conversation, invite them out on a "date", and take it from there, if she agrees to meet you outside of the club you will basically be in, otherwise she wouldn't meet you.

I think it would be appropriate to say the same about the place that Domwolf has been posting about in another thread Pal Albas, not a tourist spot, and they wouldn't take kindly to a bunch of guys going into their spots acting in the typical way tourists generally act. It isn't about space but just recently the guy who does all the work on the board was cleaning up forums and consolidating. The reason why is because it makes the board look messy. I can understand why it was moved, you shouldn't feel too bad about it as now people will be looking at all your posts there. You can still share the comments and answers to the questions.
