Late August/Early September Jetblue

Does anyone know why its $129 from JFK to POP and $399 from POP to JFK return flight during the peak of hurricane season? I flew through hanna and ike last september and the prices were $100+ less.

I emailed Jetblue questioning the high rate for a return flight but never received an answer.

I've been eying it too for a minute thinking of doing a Labor Day there. I don't understand it neither. Maybe until an hurricane it's officially announced they won't drop their ridiculous return price.

Best way to do it would b to see what other airlines r offering for the return, sometimes you may catch a sale and come back on a $75 fare.

Yeah I never understood why it costs more to fly back then it is go there, it doesn't cost them any more or less, in fact I would say its cheaper for them with labor in the DR and flying with the tail wind coming back North

Damn!..they just don't know what to charge us anymore or what?!? It starts at $406 w/AA w/stop tho for 9/4 - 9/7. Received an alert from Yapta this afternoon.
