The Santiago Chamber of Commerce and Production announced the details of the 22nd Expo Cibao during a cocktail party held at the Gran Almirante Hotel last night.
Chamber president Oliverio Espaillat said that the biggest trade fair in the region would be held at the Barranquita Sports Complex from 16-20 September. This year's motto is "Dominicans, let's export!"
The Expo Cibao brings together hundreds of exhibitors from the trade, industry and farming sectors with interested parties brought in by the Center for Export and Investment (CEI-RD).
Espaillat stressed that this year's theme is aimed at reversing the dangerous increase in the balance of trade, which seems to be "financed by currency brought in by tourism, remittances and direct foreign investment and international loans."
Espaillat also presented the Ladies Committee and the Young Entrepreneurs Committee headed by Juan Manuel Urena.
