The Dominican women's softball team qualified to participate in the XII Women's World Softball Championship set for 9-19 July 2010 in Oklahoma, US. The team will also be competing in the Central American and Caribbean Games in 2010 and the Pan Am Games in 2011. The DR is ranked 5th in the Americas, behind the US, Canada, Venezuela and Cuba.
The DR team qualified at the Panamerican Championship held this month in Maracay, Venezuela.
