Hooters coming to Dr. Rosen?

The rumor mill around Sosua this week was that A Hooters or Hooters clone restaurant will be opening along with the new hotel on Dr. Rosen. It's past Rockies and before the New Garden on the same side of street. Don't know if this hotel will be chica friendly but I heard it's gonna have a nice olympic size pool.

Well if they are planning a hooters place it probably will be chica friendly, and they should take a page from Eagles in Santo Domingo east as far as the chicas and how the place works. I think that place is a great model for something like this.

Shit, if they modeled EAgles, they'd have to start handing out UNEMPLOYEMENT checks to chicas. Of the 10-15 chicas working there, I think 8-10 make my top 20 in the DR. EAGLES is Serious.

Also, Outback has once again opened it's doors, Located in the Acropolis Center on Churchill.

2) GOOD food - simular to American hooters

If they screw up either one of those, in 6 months they'll be just another failed business in town

the first original Hooters is in Clearwater FL up the street from me and first went there in 1984........was a lot of fun the first time seeing dem gurls........though my girlfriend at the time didn't know what to make of the place......lol.....and if you follow Hooters business plan with hot chicas, it be awfully hard for the business to fail........

Across the street from that hooters is a beer store that used to sell presidente GRANDES. ... . never saw grandes in the US outside of MIA.

If hooters opens up in good location in SDQ it will do well. They will never open in sosua.

Sosua is the budget tourist town in DR. A US franchise will only open in SDQ, Punta Cana and maybe santiago. They need dominicans with money and tourists that spend money on food and drink. . . . .not just hookers;-)

Nice eye candy....but also not available in the US. It's always fun to grab a waitress or bartender in Sosua. Even if you have to pay for it. It adds to the hunt.

I am not a fan of Hooters because for me their food in nothing special, the prices are nothing special, and the girls are nothing special.
The novelty gets old pretty fast and was never really appealing to me at all.

Hooter has the worst wings on the planet in my opinion. Their shrimp is tolerable. I for one hate to see American Fast food joints pollute a foreign country. Sure, I partake when I am home, but when travelling I want local fare.

If and when enough of these places invade and the chicas add this to their diet along with a few Presidentes every night and bam! you have a recipe for ruining those nice tight bodies at record pace.

The two nicest Hooters I have been to as far as the women go were in Miami,Fl and Elpaso, TX.

I have been to a Hooters in several towns. Reno, since closed. New Orleans, ditto. Las Vegas, a few in Florida and my own town of Sacramento now has two. I agree with an earlier poster about the wings not being all that special. A few times they came to me undercooked and greasy as hell. Its nice to check out the eye candy. All the girls who work there tend to be extroverted. I suppose they are trained to be that way if they aren't naturally already. I would check the place out at least once or twice, but not sure if it would be as successful as people think. Pricing I beleive would have to be on the lower end for their food and drink. Also I think the novelty might wear off. I would prefer to spend my money on local businesses with ties to the area, not some American corporate enterprise looking to move in. But if it brings jobs to the area then maybe it could work. Hopefully someone with cooking experience will train the staff about how to prepare tasty wings. Perhaps Big D could get a part time gig there and show em how it's done.:D

They were delicious and the chica who had been keeping me company at the bar let me eat without any interuption. When I was done, she cleaned my mess and we resumed our conversation. Bought her a drink and left her a tip before heading out.

They had one in Puerto Vallarta for a number of years and it may still be there down on the Malecon but the girls were not anything to see. First they did not have much for Hooter size and more importantly they covered their crotches with the apron in front instead of on the side. What Mongor wants to look at an apron as opposed to a nice camel toe crotch.
