Orange Dominicana sees good perspectives for growth in the DR. The president of the company, Frederic Debord announced their number of clients from May 2005 to May 2006 increased 45%, and volume of calls was up 72%, as reported in El Caribe. Orange has 1.2 million clients. He said the company has invested US$450 million in its Dominican operations and expects to invest another US$80 million this year. He says the investments are made to improve the quality of their service and expand their urban coverage. He said that the company contemplates expanding the wireless products it offers and could bring innovative services presently offered in Europe to the DR.
