[DR1] Hertell: DR-CAFTA date uncertain

United States Ambassador Hans Hertell said that the closer we get to July 1st, the less probable it becomes for the Dominican Republic to enter DR-CAFTA on that date, but he invited businesspeople not to despair because it would only take another month or so. A report by El Caribe indicates that the diplomat believes that both parties must be given the chance to agree on the interpretation of some pending issues, and that they are working on that. "We are trying to hold another meeting in Washington, it is a matter of coordinating the itineraries of the parties involved", said Hertell.
