I will be there solo and I am lookin for a crew to hook up with that will show me the ropes because first time in DR. Im in my late 20's from a small city called Chicago, thus i will be parting hard all day & night.

1.Is there any place in Sosua where i can get viagra or cialias ?
2. Should I buy booze and cigarets at the duty free in USA or wait until i land in DR?

You can buy viagra and cialis type pills at any drug store. There's one in walking distance from wherever you're staying. If you're into cigarettes, get them in the USA. They probably won't have your brand in the DR. Even if they do, you'll notice a distinct difference in taste. Ask any Malboro smoker. Get your booze in the DR. You should only be drinking Brugal and Presidentes anyway (lol).

Seriously though, if you think you need cialis or viagra, I would reccomend getting a prescription in the states first. That way you know a Doc has given you the green light and there is nothing medically that prevents you from taking it.

Nothing wrong with buying it in the DR, just make sure your cleared to take it. My two cents...

Now for me, if I got to Sosua and had no Cialis.....I would get right back on the plane and go home. No point in staying :rolleyes:

Cialis really is the shit. I popped one for the first time on this last trip and had no side effects whatsoever. It was a little pricey, one pill was like 240 Dp ? in that little pharm as you walk right out of the NG towards the ice cream store, by the internet cafe. Not sure if they are cheaper at the bigger drugstores, but it really does last for 2 days straight so its still a bargain. I would get a perscription in the states next time, and bring at least the bottle with you. This way you are legit and cant be stopped.

Post again (plenty of cheap internet cafes if you are not bringing your laptop) once you have arrived. You will surely find some ISOC guys willing to meet up with you at one or other of the usual gathering places: Shark Bar, Passions, Rocky's, Siempre Sol on the beach in the day or Merengue Bar after 10.00pm at night. Obviously use common sense when meeting strangers and don't reveal too much or commit to too much until you have hung a bit more. We are mostly Boy Scouts in ISOC but a very small minority of us are assholes (as in any large community).

La Pela is a generic Cialis and is widely available at 50 pesos.

I would suggest no more than one-half pill every day for first three/four days then cut down intake to one-half pill every other day. Less if possible.

Agree with previous posters. If you need it at your age you may have a medical problem which you would be wise to get checked out.

For some reason, I felt "safer" taking the CIALIS, rather than the generic.
Next time I may get more adventurous, since I had absol no side effects. The $200pesos was not an issue for one pill. Now if I wanted to buy 10 of them, it would be a HUGE factor. Is the 50 pesos, some bulk price which you then have to split with other mongers ? I think there may have been threads on this before , but I never paid any attention til now.
This little pill really can MAKE you vacation.
But I also agree if youre not at least in your early 40's, why would you take them without consulting your Doctor ? Its really not supposed to be a recreational drug that way. Its to help you get back to the way you USED to be, or at least thats what It did for me.

I have never found Crown Royal in the DR. I always go the Duty Free in Miami to pick up a great deal on “Special Reserve”.

Whatever I don’t drink I bring back to the US with me..:D

I did both viagra and cialias a couple weeks ago in Sosua........and been taking Viagra since I was 48........didn't really need it when I was 48 either but now I do.........and it's fun to fuck like a 25 year old champion.......lol.......

my new Doctor prescibes Cialias for me which I took with me this reach but it work like chit compared to the Viagra I've taken in the past.........big reason the Cialis wasn't working for me was because of my drinking........if I don't drink Cialis works fine with me........and I don't drink at home so I had no idea I was bringing chit with me that wasn't going to work well.......

so I had to buy the Viagra there which worked well well when I had been drinking( not much of a drinker anyways but Cilias was worthless ).........and don't buy Viagra at the Pharmacy by the Gas Station on the main drag as they charge 400 pesos for a 100mg pill and there are cheaper places..........25mg or 50mg is more than enough for this guy for a night.......and the next morning........I wouldn't feel comfortable mongering without these pills nowadays.....I'd be better off staying at home as the poster mentioned........

Everyone thanks for the heads up. The only reason why i ask about the pills is that when i get really wasted i tend to go soft after 10 minutes of pumping. I like to hope for the best and prepare for the worst. When i arrive to Sosua i will be like a little kind on Christmas morning.

What should i do about cell phone? I have verison and blackberry storm but i dont wan't to bring this phone. However, i have a few old phones laying around

La Pela has been frequently reviewed on this and other monger sites. The number of people who have experienced any unpleasant side effects (other than a very slight headache or flushed face) is minute and you would probably get the same percentage complaining about Tylanol or bottled water. I am old (69) and unfit but it works for me.

Three years ago I was taking a half-pill a day for weeks on end and started getting giddy spells. I cut my intake drastically and my problems soon disappeared without affecting my performance so I guessed there was a build-up in my body (although others posted at the time that is not possible with this drug).

I do have a suspicion that they might have reduced the strength lately (either for health safety reasons or as an economy) as I now sometimes need to take a whole pill. The obvious retort would be that I am getting older and less potent, except that I get no headaches or flushed face now which suggests the dose might be weaker.

No, you can buy a single pill if you want at most places, same as they will sell a single tablet for headaches. La Pela has the price (RD$50) on the packet, though I have heard some places charge RD$60.

Do yourself and those around you a favour and don't "get wasted". You can do that in your own country. You will be spending a substantial sum to enjoy the local speciality of the DR, namely toto. Why reduce your enjoyment and partaking of the chicas by doing what you can do at home safer and perhaps cheaper?

The other reason is that if you are "wasted" you will be a soft target for scammers, thieves, and worse. At best you will find that you are spending a lot more money because you can't calculate the conversion quick enough when your mind is fuddled and you will be taken advantage of. Sosúa attracts scum from all over the island. It is a great place if you keep your wits about you but never let your guard drop.

Also if you have even a minor accident when drunk you will soon find out that medical and emergency services are either non-existent or inferior quality or expensive. What could be a minor nuisance in your own country could totally fuck up your vacation and cost you a lot of money.

And if you are not drinking any water these products are hurting your liver. If you notice stiffness in your back, that is your first sign. Do not use these products for a couple of days. And start drinking a lot of water. This will help to clean your system. Cialis will last you at least two days. After using cialis for a while, you will notice that you will not need as much. Your body will do it on its own. Just remember, you must drink a lot of water.

You are on point about the back stiffness. I tried Cialis on my last trip and had some back stiffness for a day or two. I did have a few drinks so not sure if it helped or not due to that. Thought it didn't slow me down either;)In terms of the LA Pela, I didn't get any side effects so have to say that may have worked better?

I used to always bring an old cell phone. They are easily activatable (is that a word?), but the past couple of years I've been able to get a phone at the hotels. Bring an old one just in case. I was even able to get an old analog phone activated.
