Dominican teachers honored

Six teachers of Dominican origin and three members of the Association of Dominican-American Supervisors and Administrators (ADASA) received awards during a ceremony sponsored by the Dominican Studies Institute in New York, the City College of New York, Apec University and the Dominican Heritage Week Organizing Committee. Andres L. Mateo, Luz Carmen Minaya, Edwin Quezada, Adan Vasquez, Franklin Gutierrez, Nancy Lopez and Danny Mendez were also recognized for their work as teachers in the US.
