Instead of being concerned with the rain, in regards to the need for umbrellas, be more concerned about your footwear when exiting Classicos after it's rained hard for a while.
Make sure you don't wear your Johnson and Murphy's to Classicos when it's raining.
The drainage on Pedro Cisante sucks and I've left Classicos with 2 feet of water in the street.
I guess sandals aren't the way to go either, but expect that after a deluge, you will be either in water logged shoes or bare footed, which is not brilliant because of all the shit on the ground.
The next time I go when rain is more prevalent, I'll have a pair of flip flops in my pocket, just in case.
