2 out of 3 of my chicas showed up for the concert. The one who invited herself did indeed pay for her own ticket :eek: The 3rd did something I've done before :( She laid down for 10 minutes after work, and woke up at 1 am! She was so disappointed with herself!
OK ... included in the price of VIP seating was a 26 of Scotch ... I don't drink Scotch, so I told my chicas they could drink that. They were happy with that. Long and short of it ... it did not cost me a single peso more to have the 2nd chica tag along! Ooops I forgot ... I spent about 300 pesos to feed all 3 of us hot sandwiches and pops on the Malecon at 4:30 am.
OK back to the concert ... the pre concert music was excellent, BUT it was painfully loud ... after 45 minutesI tore up a napkin and made earplugs! I saw Weyland and Eric S there, but it was way to loud to even try a conversation.
The women were gorgeous ... they paid much attention to their clothing, hair and makeup. Stunners everywhere I looked.
Elvis finally started sometime after 12:30am. He is a lady killer, the women all love the guy ... he`s got some amazing moves.

Last 2 songs of the show he had 50 (mas o menos) long stem roses to give the ladies. Security did a good job of keeping them off the stage, I only saw them have to physically remove one chica. I`m thinking that some of them wanted alot more than a flower!
At the beginning of the second set one chica threw her panties up on the stage. He just looked at them, smiled and blew her a kiss!
Long story short ... Elvis is a crowd pleaser, the concert was excellent. Next time I will bring industrial earplugs to save my hearing. I am amazed Dominicans are not all deaf ... music here only has one volume! No need to worry about your lack of Spanish ... conversation in any language except sign language is impossible in this setting!!
I`ll fill you in on what happened after the concert .... when I get back to my trip report!
