Taxi from POP to NG in Sosua

Does New Gardens send a taxi for someone staying there, or should I just take a taxi that is at the airport. I understand from reading other posts that the fare should be between $20-$25 but they will try and get $40.

I haven't been there in a couple years , but last time, there were signs at the airport that said $25 to Sosua, I don't think that changed. You can try and negotiate for less, but not likely, never heard the $40 thing before.

NG will send a cab (not for free but $20) but you can find one easily at the airport...even though I saw Sosua listed for $25 on the sign, I offered $20 and they accepted...everyone expects a tip though...I thought $100RD was fair

Dont even worry about it, its as smooth as it gets. there will be a guy holding a paper with your name on it where the cabbies stand waiting, u cant possibly miss it, and its $20 plus whatever tip you want to give.
