Mexican pop singer Paulina Rubio is booked for an Altos de Chavon performance in La Romana. She is including the DR in her world tour, "Paulina Gran City Pop Tour." The performance is set for Wednesday, 30 December, marking the start of the New Year's long weekend, including Thursday, 31 December, Friday, 1 January, Saturday, 2 January and Sunday, 3 January.
