Several chicas talked me into taking them to a club on the Playa Dorado golf complex after the Blackbeard's Halloween Party ended. It was a great experience.
The chicas called the club "Rush" and it appeared to be a free standing club just inside the main control point. We got there just after midnight, but the place really did not get going unitl about 1:30AM. By 2:00AM, the place was packed. We hung out there until just past 4:00AM. It reminded me of the old Z Club days in DC. The DJ played a good mix of music. The high end scotch is very reasonably priced. For those early morning munchies, there was even a decent place to get some pretty good eats just outside the front door.
The best part of the experience was finding that the majority of the people worked in the local hotels and bars. It was great mixing with them outside their workplace.
If you get the opportunity this is a good place to try if you are looking for a large clug to go after midnight.

You say you went to a club in Playa Dorado, but which club?, Or am I missing something and that is the acutal name of the club, and is it located at that hotel? there are many clubs there, and each hotel often has their own, so please continue with the details of which club, was so great with the local workers.

Sorry about that. I went back and read my original post and it was bit lacking. I updated it to include some additional information about the club.

The funny thing is, that's not a costume, it's what I wear when I'm on the bike.
Is there such a thing as a 5X leather vest? That's a 3X, and it's too small.

Hi Brother,
I am a member of the Viet Nam Vets M/C and was thinking of relocating to Sosua next year, but wasn't sure whether to bring my Harley over. Are there a lot of Harley riders and M/C club members in the DR?

I did see several older Harleys sprinkled about in Sosua and Cabarette. I also saw some guys riding custom choppers during the day in Sosua while I was waiting at New Gardens for my taxi to the airport.
I suspect that there are quite a few more as you get into Santiago and Santo Domingo. I know there is a dealership in Santo Domingo (http://www.grupomagna.com/#). There is also a Harley Owners Group Chapter (http://www.hogdom.org/). Unfortunately, you need to be able to read Spanish.
If I remember correctly there is a Harley DR forum on the ISOC site that might be able to give some additional information.

Oh yes, quite a few. There's at least 10 clubs that I know of personally in Santo Domingo, but I've heard there are more than 20. But what they call a club here, is what you and I would call a group of friends that ride together.
There's even a club that's associated with the Hell's Angels.
There was a big biker show at the Las Americas Mobil 1 speedway last weekend.
Unless your bike is a custom, I'd recommend you sell it there, and buy one here.

The Canadian Hell's Angels had established a chapter in Cabarete last February. I saw HA patches from just about every province while I was there. I'm told that they even bribed the Mayor of Cabarete to rename the street their clubhouse is on to Calle 81.
I heard about two months after I was there, that there was a large international bust , and that Quebec Hell's Angels, and the DR chapter were the prime target of this bust, so I don't know if the chapter still exists or not.

Not really a chapter.
The Barracos MC in Santo Domingo applied to be associated with the HA's, but the place in Cabarete is not a chapter, it's simply a small B&B type of hotel where the HA's usually stay when they come down.
Only three guys that were wanted in Canada were arrested in Cabarete.

How far from BB's is it?
Maybe 15 - 20 minutes by taxi.

Tough to do.
A more realistic time would be closer to 45 minutes to an hour..

OK, I had quite a few Presidentes and Johnnie Blacks. I had chicas all around me in the taxi. Could have been an hour and I would not cared. :D

BTW, the Barracos no longer exist; they have become the Hell's Angels chapter for the Domincan Republic.
We all got drunk last Saturday doing a "stuff for Haiti" gig.....
