Weak front to bring rains

Don't forget your umbrella today. According to the National Meteorological Office (Onamet) there is a weak low front over the Windward Passage that will cause light rains in the northeast, the north, over the central mountains and along the frontier. The Onamet bulletin said that the winds would be predominantly from the east-southeast, bringing lots of clouds and brief rain showers to the eastern region. Although Onamet has lifted the small craft warnings for the Atlantic coast and around Samana Bay, it is warning that small craft should stay close to the coast due to high waves caused by minor storms.
