I know the owner of Madejra, nice hotel. Also, El Candil is nice also. Europa is accross the street from Madejra, which is about a few seconds from the beach, literally.

Those places are in in Boca. I stay on the cheap because I spend WAY more than 21 days per year there, and until I get a new apartment. . . . .I stay at the place son calle danae, they are cheap and right in the middle of the action.

I alway stay at the one bedroom apartment at Playa Vista (BC). I've stayed there 4-5 times. For less than four nights, they want $45 (last time I checked). But for 5+ days, they'll negotiate.
Plus side
- AC (in bedroom only, fans in living/kitchen area)
- Full kitchen and huge living area
- non-stop daytime chicas
- Bar patio is vitrually "all yours" after closing and in early AM
- Peter and Fleming's gracious hospitality
- Walk 15 yards from your door to the beach
Minus side
- Limited housekeeping
- Limited availability (only ONE apartment), reserve far in advance if possible
- Returing from Cosmos at 3am CAN be a bit creepy (although I have never had any problems)
Direct inquiries to playa.vista@verizon.net.do

P.S. - not "shilling" - just a satisfied, repeat guest

I will be returning to SDQ soon (can't wait) and I have stayed long term there at the Hotel Naco - totally guest friendly
Courtyard by Marriott - mostly guest friendly
Hotel Hispaniola - hit n miss guest friendly

I understand that the Intercontinental on the Malecon is pretty much guest friendly is that true? (I've been there won some money in the casino, had a few drinks but never stayed there)

Also I see that Hotel Santo Domingo has slashed there prices. Any chance at getting a girl in the room here? Anyone know?

Last year I went to the Hotel Santo Domingo and looked around. (Its across the street from the Hispaniola) Very impressive restaurant, bar, lobby and pool area! They said guests were permitted but I think they mean only one and when you check in. Also they were stuck on a price of $160usd per night. Don't think so.

Remember- SDQ "El capital es capital y todo la otra es monte" :)

Cheers!

Yes, I also stayed at the Hamaca for a night last year. Very stylish and very impressive - off course like all ai's not friendly. :(

Hi wsj3 - thank you for a few of your compliments. :)
Its good to write you again. I very much enjoyed your many and informative contributions to the wsg through the years as well!

Jimmy has been writing me and trying to get me to contribute for some time now, I finally got moving.

This board is the "gold standard" for info on the DR -its has no peer.

Cheers.

My very first trip to DR I stayed in the Hamaca. I wasn't privy yet to the info provided by Jimmy DR and all the other mongers that contribute.

My friends and I tried to sneek some chicas in that we picked up at Casa de Modelos in SD. We got caught the 1st time by an older guy in the hotel. He was mad! We tried to say we were taking them to the disco in the hotel. He didn't want to hear it.

Nevertheless, we tried again (first trip, real horny, paid salida and taxi already). We had the girls follow behind us at a distance. We had 2 rooms- one was at beach level by the pool just past where they have the chicken during the day.

This was about 3 years ago, but I'm pretty sure this is how we went- We walked through hotel entrance, passing the left side of the lobby, straight through toward the beach, made a right through all the people outside drinking, until we got to the sliding doors of the room facing the beach(one guy went to the room to open up).

We made it, lucky I guess. But the girls didn't like the idea too much, and we didn't want to try it again, so the next night we got rooms at Europa.

When I got back home, I found out about the Palace in Sosua, and have been going there ever since.

I usually stay at Nikkolaus hotel in Santo Domingo. The hotel is close to the university so you can see a lot of young slash and it is chica friendly.

I don't usually keep overnighters in my hotel room. From my experiences these chicas will steal and in DR you really don't know who to trust. I use the cabanas for overnighters.
I always rent a car to get around and about in Santo Domingo so this hotel is convient for me.

I stayed at hotel Plaza Del Sol also in 2004. It is chica friendly but the rooms suck. The air con is too close to the bed and the rooms are too dark.

I also spent some time at hotel Coquimar in 2004. This hotel is close in Malecon on Independecia ave and is chica friendly, close to a lot of streetwalkers and is in walking distance of El Conde.
The rooms are ok and you can negotiate room rates.

As a newbie in 2003, I use to stay at hotel Mercure Comercial on El Conde. El Conde is good for meeting pros/non pros and just mongering around. Small rooms at a good price, but is good if you are new to Santo Domingo. It is in walking distance of Malecon and is chica friendly. At night the chicas must show ID.

Stayed one day at the hotel Intercontinental V Centenario on George Washington Ave in 2003. Good rooms with a view on the ocean but they charged me $21.00 for a bottle of water from the Minibar and I tried to resolve the matter several times but, my cash was never refunded.
They lost my business. I work for the accounting department in a hotel, so they will lose money in the long because of cheating people out of small sums of cash.

In Boca Chica, I always stay at Los Pinos. I like the staff and is very chica friendly.

I was in Santo Domingo in October and stayed at the Marriott Courtyard. My friend was able to secure me the employee rate. I will be staying at the Courtyard in the future if I get the employee rate.

Santo Domingo is boring these days. I will be mongering up North in December so, drop me some recomendations for chica friendly hotels without pros hanging around.

Happy hunting
