I know between getting head, drinking Brugal and walking the strip, cooking might be the last thing you would ever want to do, especially on vacation. However, some places do offer cooking facilities. Sometimes you might not want to get up and have to go out. You can make your own omlett!!! or pancakes. I checked out the markets and they don't look bad. Anyone ever shop and make their own meals. Probably will save you some money. I'm sure chicas are dying to come over and cook you some arroz con habichuelas. Any tips on cooking or where is best to shop or what isn't what you think it is so you don't cook or eat it? OK, even thought about a George Forman grill :P

I cook all the time since I have an apartment there. Playero is a large supermarket with fair prices, There is a German Butcher with good meat. I even had Thanksgiving over my place. A dozen showed up.

Coastal is open late to at least 11 with anything you might need as well.

If you just down here for a short vacation there is no real reason to cook at home. If your going to be here awhile you can save a little money by having your girl cook for you but the problem is the supermarkets have gotten so expensive it is barely worth doing.

Some prices are lower such as rice, chicken, beans and things like that.

Learn to eat Dominican style. If your chica is cooking and she knows her shit she can spice up a good chicken dinner for 2 for 250 pesos and the beer is only 30 pesos at the playa compared to 60 of 70 at resurant. I usually bring down 8 rib eye steaks in a cooler bag frozen and use Lous grill as long as i share.

:twisted:I know what you mean, but we locked eyes one too many times. So i had to say something. Waited for him to walk away which gave me exactly 60 seconds to get as much info as i could. Nothing ever became of it though. If anyone has any info on her, let us know.
