The vice-president of the State Electricity Companies (CDEEE), Celso Marranzini is optimistic that there could be days without blackouts forthcoming. He said that the 24th and the 25th showed that "the country could have 24-hour energy" not just on holidays if all sectors fulfilled their obligations.
He said that the country has had bigger energy problems and has overcome them. He said that on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day there was so much energy being produced that he ordered that the San Felipe plant to be shut down for a while.
