WTF! Just got a weather forecast for my trip to the North Coast, January 6 through 15, and there's rain almost every day! Last time I was there, in August, it rained as well. What's with the permanent monsoon? I don't remember rain the first few times I visited the DR. When is the dry and sunny season?

The north coast is much more rainy as the others parts of the country.

But if you're in your room with a nice chica you won't notice the bad weather.

when I was there in September I thought the weather was great compared to my weather experiences with the rest of the Caribbean.......wi had showers a few nights last reach that lasted for 15 to 30 minutes around 8PM......
in Jamaica wi get showers most afternoons.......last ten or fifteen minutes and the sun comes out......only had one shower during the afternoon last reach in Sosua.......guess I've been pretty lucky over the years in the DR........Jamaica is a different situation.....lol

The thing I liked about the North Coast is that even though there is the possibility of rain any and every day.. when I have been there, it pretty much just dried up right away.. :)

The forecast usually says rain, but it doesn't mean it's going to rain all the time. Just that there is a chance of rain. It's not like predicting the weather patterns as they do elsewhere.

I don't even look at the weather anymore when going to the North Coast. Yeah, you could still catch a real rainy week...but trust me, you won't really care.

For instance, I took this picture during an extremely heavy downpour.....didn't bother me at all.

I will take the rain in northern DR any day over this shit I have in DC these days. Even when it rains there, it is still warm. Besides, if you slapping hips with a chica who gives a shit if it is raining.

70 degrees and rain trumps 15 degrees, windy with blowing snow any day, without the pussy even being a factor

toss in the pussy, what is there to think about???

15 whats that here it is 30 below at night and get up to 0 during the day. But thats ok I only will be in MN about a entire total of 10-12 days this winter on 4 or 5 quick return trips just to make sure my stuff is still ok.

In the apartment it will be in the 70's in Sosua regardless of the temp outside.
Time for some ass.

First day is actually in Florida tomorrow for a party then hitting Sosua Sunday.
I will have all the BBQ options analyzed scrutinized and on a spreadsheet by then. :corky:

I am going to follow this one to find out where she eats or shops for food

Then all we need is our cook below to serve us in the shade here or at the table on the patio nearby both safe from the rain.

I learned long ago not to bother with POP forecasts. Any dates you plug in will pretty much show the same rainy forecast. Don't make yourself crazy. Besides, if you're a playa guy, being in the water during the rain is pretty cool.

I agree , there is usually at least a 30% chance of rain in the forcast. in january and feb you get an evening shower more often and they get violent sometimes. dont sweat the forcast, its not gonna be sweltering like the summer.
