Dominican Ambassador in Haiti Ruben Silie is meeting Prime Minister Jean Max Bellerive of Haiti to prepare for President Rene Preval's visit to the DR next week. Preval and President Leonel Fernandez are scheduled to take part in a ceremony marking the resumption of work by the Haitian-Dominican Bilateral Commission. Silie and Haitian ambassador in the DR Fritz Cineas are responsible for preparing for the visit.
In the run-up to the visit, Economy, Planning and Development Minister Temistocles Montas traveled to Haiti on 18 December to meet with Prime Minister Bellarive, who is also minister of economy and planning for the Haitian government.
