Leavy Yadira Nin Batista, the woman known as Puerto Rican drug trafficking fugitive Jose Figueroa Agosto's wife, used the identity of Fior Jansen Rodriguez to leave the Dominican Republic. She traveled to Italy in November, according to Migration Department records. She left from Las Americas Airport on Air France 493 with a stopover in Paris, with a final destination of Milan. She had obtained the false identity card 001-1777392-9 and Dominican passport No. SN-0169708. The report says she traveled alone on 7 November 2009.
When she traveled, there was no legal ban on her leaving the country. Her relationship with Figueroa Agosto, nevertheless, was already known.
Leavy Nin Batista also had the identity number 001-1404314-4 with Dominican nationality. She has a birth certificate registering her as a daughter of a Dutchman, according to a report on fake IDs. The ID card shows her address as Calle Portalatin Sosa, Edificio 7, manzana 4705 in the Invivienda sector.
Her husband Jose Figueroa Agosto has been making headlines since 3 September 2009 when he escaped pursuit by drug trafficking agents. Figueroa Agosto is also known to have held several Dominican identities.
