Former President Hipolito Mejia says that drugs are at the feet of officials and leading figures in the current government who have ties with drug trafficking. He said that the accusations that Marino Vinicio Castillo made against him are just "a personal and family fight".
"Drugs are falling at the feet of many directors and leading government figures," said Mejia, as reported in El Dia. Interviewed on the program, "Tu manana", he said he did not know Puerto Rican drug trafficker Jose Figueroa Agosto. "Drug trafficking is a very hateful and sensitive issue that has made millionaires of many people in this country and this government," said the former President.
