Chilly weather and rain

The Weather Department is forecasting more chilly weather and rain for most of the country for today Friday and Saturday. A frontal system is parked on the northeast coast. The Emergency Operations Center has issued a green alert for possible flooding in La Vega, Santiago, Puerto Plata, Sanchez Ramirez (Cotui), Duarte (San Francisco de Macoris), Maria Trinidad Sanchez (Nagua) and Samana. Temperatures as low as 8C have been reported in Constanza, La Vega.
