Sports writers say the Gigantes won't make it to the playoffs, but yesterday they did their best to prove the prediction wrong. Yesterday they defeated the Escogido 7-4 in an extra inning. Now they lead the round robin by two games. Yesterday the Tigres del Licey defeated the Toros in La Romana, 1-0.
