A/C, safe, cable internet
- bad: no sign on the outside so it is hard to find
- bad: no latch on the inside of door so anyone with a key can enter
- bad: even in the lobby internet speed was sometimes slow
- bad: no chica activity on El Conde when I was there
- bad: the springs on the bed where really bad during sex
- good: right near supermarket; ATM; restaurants; tourist sites

Large 500 sq. ft rooms with clean bath, small fridge, 19" TV with
cable, good beds, safe. Two fast internet computers in lobby, free.
- bad: my netbook couldn't connect to the wifi in lobby (but about 5 other people there could connect)
- bad: had to inventory and sign for the items in the minibar
- bad: had to leave a big deposit when I checked in for just one night
- bad: no latch on the inside of door so anyone with a key can enter
- bad: bed was too soft and squeaky
- good: close to the casino and action around it
- good: fancier room than most of the other places I stayed
- good: price includes okay breakfast

So they both have no latch on the inside of the door are you talking about your room door I would assume and not the hotel door to get in. Sounds like a minor problem if people can't get in the hotel that are not guests. Or can they and are you saying security is lacks?

Thanks for your breakdown do you have some pictures. Just my opinion but the internet would seem like a small thing if you are not working and the deposit and signing for the mini bar we could live with. The poor beds is a concern to me but the other stuff seems fairly small and that basically you are saying the difference is $15 a night to get breakfast included so now we are down to $10 more for a bigger more comfortable room.

I know I have looked at both websites months ago but since I will be there in March I will look again.

I stayed at the Roma one night my last trip and I agree, that shit was hard to find, day or night, even with the address on their business card. Next time, I'll make a better effort to find a landmark. It wasn't too far from action IMO...seemed like a 15 minute walk, maybe 20. I did see the Riazor though and it was closer to action. Is the Riazor chica friendly with no extra fee?

I think the biggest difference is location. Do you want to hang around the jaqua hotel or the condi? Thats how I would base my decision.

I don't know shit about there but I would think I would prefer the one close to, meaning walking distance, to bars with some chicas. I have read most everything posted and seen that walk about map and think either one has that if my memory has a few brain cells left. Also parking fees if any would interest me.

After a few more Sosua trips that is :lol::p:D damn girl taking me to the airport just drained me I need some oysters.

there are bars and chicas near both, but SD aint Sosua, you going to need a car or taxi to hit all the spots.

I meant the door to the room not the hotel. It is a minor problem (as were some of the others) but something I consider. I have read of room invasions in hotels and I don't want to be there if someone breaks in. It would have to be an inside job but it wouldn't be too hard to bribe someone to let in a crook.

The Riazor did not charge me a fee to have a chica up to my room. I have read you can only have 1 guest there but did not attempt to have more than 1. They made a copy of her cedula.

I travel to the DR 4 times a year and FINALLY stayed at the Raizor. While it is NOT the Juaraga it is a very pleasent place to stay in the middle of the action. It was such a treat to simply walk to 3 different casas and get to the front desk and NO problems.

The room was large and bathroom was clean. I had a room that overlooked the street with a balcony so I could enjoy the view. And the bed was fine, bed frame was a little loose but not noisey. I would like some better lighting options in the room as the all the lights were either too bright or off.

I will be going back to the Raisor soon!:):lol:

Not sure where you read this. I have stayed there many times over the last 7 years and have never been charged an extra fee when I brought chicas in.

I'm currently here at Aparta Hotel Roma II. This is the newer unit. I have a very nice room with queen size bed, 32" flatscreen tv with satelite channels, two couches, small refrigerator, safe and a nice big spacious bathroom all for $55 a night. I can bring who I want to my room for no extra price.
