going to la romana for the first time and staying at casa de campo...anyone have any suggestions for chicas at the hotel? do i need to go somewhere and bring them back or can i arrange it with a phone call?

I am a first timer... heading to La Romana from March 5th - 8th... I am still trying to figure out where to stay and where to go.

Oh oh... I imagine I said something wrong but I am sooo new at this that I do not even get it... ok, here it is... I have heard that Casa de Campo is not a good place to stay...I heard that Vista Catalina or Hotel Frano are chicas friendly... So, I am planning to stay in one of those two places.

I am trying to find out if I am better off driving to another city or will I do well in La Romana.

Where to go in the Dominican Republic is a great question. The answer lies within your expectations. What do you want to do? If you want to plaay golf and tennis, live and dine in a family atmosphere then Casa de Campo is a good option. If you're looking for a little fun on the side that is always available as well at a higher than customary price and definitely not at the resort.

However...

If you are going to the Dominican Republic specifically to partake of the local flavor (Punani) then there are a few more fruitful venues to choose from. La Romana is tthe nearest city with about 150K residents and there is some opportunity to dabble but I doubt if that can happen without the assistance of an intermediary unless you speak passable Spanish and that's where the price becomes a problem.

La Romana is 1 1/2 hours East of Santo Domingo (Capital city pop. 3M) and 1 1/2 hours West of the resort area of Punta Cana and the Bavaro beaches. There are many nearby cultural attractions like Bayahibe and Dominicus beaches, Saona Island, Fun-Fun Cave and all manner of tropical island tourist shit. There are several discos/ nightclubs in La Romana where there will of course be many Women available for your pleasure but this will be an expensive proposition and you will need to plan for the extra expense of a cabana (a 100% Dominican phenomenon) to take your Chica to since the resort is definitely Chica-not-friendly.

Other than it's well known golf courses (3 public) I wouldn't choose the La Romana area because it's pretty remote and you will pay top dollar for everything for that reason. It's a place that I would condsider going with the family but not on a "guys only" vacation. Not with what I like do do.

In the way of advice, I would offer that you could get the best of both Worlds in Juan Dolio. They've got all the touristy shit to do (golf, casino, horseback, scuba, shopping, fishing) and it's right down the street from Boca Chica where there is a pretty lively little monger scene. The Capital is less than an hour from Juan Dolio and it offers an endless list of sights to see and things to do and there are many, many beautiful women there many of whom would be delighted to make your acquaintance. Santo Domingo is my personal destination of preference for sport fucking mostly because there's a much larger variety of Chicas available there and that's important because I never know what I'm going to be in a mood for and some nights I require a better cut than others. I have never come away from there dissatisfied. When I want to play golf there's always Myrtle Beach.

Actually, I don't think he'd have a problem getting a girl into Casa de Campo, specially if he's driving a vehicle.

But, just so you know, Casa de Campo was the original "home" of the rich and famous of the country, so it's not exactly budget lodgings.

I didn't even know there was a "hotel" in CDC, I thought it was all luxury villas. Ya learn something new everyday.

I do speak Spanish.. so hopefully that will help my cause... I am also hearing that the 1 1/2hr trip to Santo Domingo may be worthy... I can probably look around the site to get names of some places to go there but do you have some favorite places where you can get some quality chicas even if a little more expensive...

de nada. I have a drinking buddy who goes there all the time with his wife and they play two rounds of golf a day. We swap trip stories all the time. They go with a couple of other couples and it looks like a nice interesting vacation for the couples thing. I would lose my mind there. It's very expensive (Puerto Rico expensive).

You've got the Spanish down so if you're also a golfer I think it's a safe bet that you'll have a great time. Do try to visit the Capital. It's a very interesting place.

Nope.. .not a golfer... My hobbies are: poker (cash game), boxing, some guitar... but I can also dance merengue and bachata...

My ideal trip will be to find a chica, get a few drinks, go dancing, drink some more then go back to my place... What I do not know is if it is safe for her to spend the night (will I wake up with nothing but my sox?) or just take her back to where I found her once we are done for the night?

If you are staying in CdC, you will not be able to get anyone in without your CdC id's. There is several spots I know, one is Climax, very organized & priced on the top side. $125 us :eek:for a couple of hours. Deseo (sp?) not as fancy and cheaper. These 2 are all in house services. Another place you can hit is pink pussy which is even nearer to CdC, all locals but no problems for the odd tourist that comes in for a drink and a pick up. Only problem you'll need a Cabana which the girls can arrange. I had a great TN for under 1,500rd here and she stayed the total day as well:corky:
As far as hitting the city, I only know one local hangout named Professionel. Great bar, music and chicas to try your hand at. The bar staff are really hot and are available for cabanas just down the street. ;)
