During the presentation at the Melia Hotel, the commission investigating the Jose Figueroa Agosto case said that sisters Mary and Dolphy Pelaez, Sobeida Felix Morel, Madeline Bernard, Juliana Morel and Leavy Nin Bastista, known as close women friends of the Puerto Rican drug baron, were known to spend up to RD$300,000 at a night club on Mondays. The investigating commission revealed that the women were members of a so-called "harem" of 30 women for whom Figueroa paid to have plastic surgery. As reported in Hoy, the plastic surgeon they used is now a multi-millionaire.
The commissioners described Figueroa Agosto as a "psychopath" and "a sick man" with pedophile tendencies. In the presentation, they showed graphic photographs of Figueroa together with images of girls. In confiscations taking place at multiple residences, they claim to have found a large number of videos to support these statements.
