Weather conditions in the Dominican Republic are being affected by a tropical wave over the Lesser Antilles that is approaching the DR and causing rain showers with thunder and possible wind gusts. The tropical wave is moving westwards at 22kph and is expected to affect communities in the northeast, southeast and eastern regions of the Dominican Republic, according to the Weather Department. Small boats have been warned to stay in port as a precaution against abnormally high waves and wind gusts.
