The Ministry of the Armed Forces has permanently closed down a private watchman company which had hired individuals who had been deported from the United States after serving jail terms for crimes such as drug trafficking and murder. Diario Libre reports that "Compania de Seguridad Dominicana" is the 64th company that has been closed down in one year. Twenty-four rifles and 19 revolvers were confiscated.
