National Investigations Department (DNI) agents have arrested an alleged drug trafficker at large, wanted by the Dominican judicial system since 1992 for his involvement in a case in which 626 kilos of cocaine were seized. Diario Libre reports that Marcos Jose Batista arrived on American Airlines flight No. 2355 from New York. He is listed in the National Drug Control Department (DNCD) files as wanted since 28 August 1992, together with another 22 people, for the trafficking of a shipment of cocaine brought to the DR from Colombia. The Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) had informed Dominican authorities of Batista's arrival.
