Airport Department Director Andres Vanderhorst has announced that the Gregorio Luperon International Airport in Puerto Plata will be subject to a process of expansion and refurbishment and provided with new air traffic navigation equipment, with an investment of over US$23 million. The work will begin within 45 days. Gates will be expanded to facilitate the passenger flow, and the terminal's second floor will be modified.
