[DR1] Embassy studying procurement bill

United States Embassy officials are analyzing the bill that regulates the government purchase and contracting of goods and services and have made several observations, according to the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Alfredo Pacheco, who stated that this is the only matter linked to DR-CAFTA that is still pending in Congress. A report by Diario Libre indicates that the commission that is studying the bill has completed its report and that now they are in consultation with the US Embassy, and that Pacheco expects that their observations will be completed as soon as possible so the bill can be passed before the end of the current legislative term.
