El Dia reports that an uncle of Puerto Rican drug trafficker Jose David Figueroa Agosto was arrested by the Navy on 6 December 209 when trying to covertly enter the DR on a boat with 6 other Puerto Ricans. Reportedly, Alex Manuel Rivera Figueroa, the uncle, arrived on Nena, in the company of Elvin Medina Velasquez and/or Jose Miguel Marrero Martell, who El Dia says lived in the DR, in one of the apartments that the authorities say belonged to Figueroa Agosto.
