View Full Version : DNCD searches car dealers in Santiago

The National Drug Control Department (DNCD) reports that it has carried out searches in two unnamed car dealerships in Santiago and detained 4 people on suspicion of having links to the network that sent cocaine to the United States hidden inside farm products.
Luis Diaz Santana and Santo Castillo, employees of the Pilarte Cargo and Aeropronto companies were detained along with another two men who are close to Sandy Domingo Pacheco Coronado and Estil Alejandro Munoz Sanchez, alleged owners of the drugs that were to be shipped to Brooklyn, New York on a Delta Airlines flight. The DNCD said that the drugs were found on Wednesday in 27 boxes of zucchini that were harvested in Burende, in La Vega province. The cargo left for the airport from Exportadora Pacheco Coronado, which belongs to fugitive Sandy Domingo Pacheco Coronado. They were being sent to Pemberton Products in Brooklyn.
