Low-fare Carrier Offers Additional Flights from JFK to Nassau, San Juan and Aguadilla; Ends Santo Domingo Service
On March 3, the airline will end service to Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic but will continue serving the country with a daily nonstop to Santiago from JFK.
While we regret canceling service to Santo Domingo, we're pleased to continue serving the Dominican Republic with daily nonstop service to Santiago.''

Guys I just e mailed Jet Blue & Delta letting them know that Puerto Plata would be a great destination for them. Everyone on this board should send them E mails to try to get these airlines interested into flying to POP.
As you know AA and Continental dominate POP. We need some competition out there to keep prices down.

Thank you for contacting JetBlue Airways. This message is being sent to let you know we have
received your email correspondence. It is our goal to respond to you within 24 hours. However, at
this time you can expect a response from a Customer Commitment crewmember within 24 - 48 hours due
to an increased volume of email.

For faster service, feel free to search our FAQ page at http://www.jetblue.com/faq.html

We value you as our customer and your satisfaction is important to us.

Sincerely,

Jet Blue is about to cancel it's Santiago flight as well........ This means the end to price wars and a beginning to expensive flights. The flight attendant indicated that the cost of fuel is just to expensive. It's a result of the extra baggage that the flights carry. As far as the customers go, the airline says, "SCREW THEM". They don't complain and therefore get treated like shit. American airlines will benefit because prices will go up and customers will continue to fly because they have to.

The flight attendant confirmed this on, and even gave psriches and I a heads up that AA was going to raise prices TBD...

I called Jet Blue cause my friend has a 4/15 flight to STi and they said they have no idea about this info that i have learned and do not plan on cancelling STI service... She could have been lying but thats what she told me...

JBLUE got already a real bad reputation here for its (no-) services: luggages arrive one day late on a regular basis, nobody picks up the phone at the airport aso....
well you buy cheap, you get cheap, i guess

Hey, you want to pay $250 more and go American, they loose stuff and are rude.

I just did the jfk-sti and will NEVER do it again. Pay the $250 extra and go to where you want. The arrival and departure times are horrible and are really for locals only. If Sti is where you're going then have at it. I had some Jetblue credits that were about to expire so I had to use them somewhere so it was essentially "free" for me but I would have preferred to pay as my time has value too. I was lucky to find someone who was going to PP anyway, after about two hours in Passion's (where the girls,in my humble opinion, look like Long Island girls in lingerie). Winding up drunk in PP at 6am is a poor way to start a vacation but I toughed it out. I had tears in my eyes (and a Presidente in hand) when the 3 o'clock AA flew overhead. If they're cancelling this run anyway my advice is superfluous but for the meantime ,with a 2:35 departure from STI it's easy to show up drunk which is never a hit with the airline staff who did bar one gringo from getting on the plane. As one of a small handful of gringos there I knew what he was saying but even the locals could tell he was quite agitated about being banned lol.. With some thought and planning I guess it could be OK but to me JFK-STI is a rousing thumbs down. In search of variety and discretion I did the north to south run back to north and back to STI so I was doomed logistically. As it turns out two of the girls(one north coast one south) were primas anyway and I was caught by the "coconut telegraph". Are they all primas anyway????
Any airline that loses your luggage on a non-stop direct is pretty lame!!Jetblue actually told me they are adding flight to STI so I guess the truth is out there somewhere but until they get an afternoon arrival I wouldnt even consider it

If there was no Jet Blue, I would not be paying $308 to fly American thru Santiago.
