Thursday, 21 January is Altagracia Day and Monday, 25 January is Duarte Day, both holidays in the DR. With Friday, 22 January in the middle, this forms a very long weekend for those living in the DR. DR1 Daily News updates will not be posted on those days and instead compiled for a summarized Tuesday, 26 January issue. In the meantime, the DR1 Forum and its Haiti section that is open for updates 24/7 will continue to provide timely coverage on headline news as the Haiti relief efforts and recovery efforts are underway.
