[DR1] A foundation for cancer patients

The Vicini family has set up a foundation called the Virgin of Perpetual Help Foundation to help cancer patients to receive the assistance they need to combat the disease. The announcement comes a week after the death of Laura Vicini who was the principal founder of the foundation. The foundation will not carry out diagnostics but rather, will assist patients who have been diagnosed by their own doctors. According to Felipe Vicini Lluberes, "...we are not a hospital, what we are going to do is that people who have been diagnosed with cancer and have treatment prescribed by their doctor but don't have the economic wherewithal to pay for it, who can't afford chemotherapy, are going to come here and we will help them." The foundation is located on Calle 19 de Marzo #111, in Santo Domingo's Colonial Zone.
