The producers of Clave weekly newspaper and Clave Digital, Media Team Dominicana, have purchased a modern high-speed rotating press capable of printing 75,000 units per hour from German company Man Roland. According to a report in Hoy, Media Team president Abraham Hazoury spoke of the company's intention to continue in the communications media business with a general information daily paper, which will circulate around the country with a 120,000 daily issue on higher quality newsprint than normally used in the local media. Clave Digital began in March 2004 as an initiative by a group of independent journalists, and in September 2005 it was purchased by Media Team Dominicana without any change in staff or the editorial line. In March 2006, Media Team launched the weekly paper Clave. The owners of Clave Digital also own a major construction company and are the contractors for the management of the Puerto Plata, Las Americas, Samana and Barahona international airports.
