Taiwanese President visiting

President Ma Ying-jeou of Taiwan will make a three-and-a-half hour stopover in Santo Domingo on Thursday, 28 January to meet President Leonel Fernandez. The President of Taiwan will visit the DR after his stopover in Honduras to attend the inaugural of President-elect Porfirio Lobo. The main topic on the agenda for the DR is how Taiwan can work with the Dominican Republic for the reconstruction of Haiti. His agenda also includes a meeting with Haitian ambassador in the DR, Fritz Cineas.
