Here is my take on Playa Dorada
Alternatives
One advantage of being at FOD is its across from Playa Dorada. NON pros mostly there.
Coco Bongo mostly locals I really don't like it there. Really loud not many single girls.
Senor Rock is a Hard Rock cafe copy right next to Coco Bongo alot of European chics with Dominican boyfriends there.
Roadway my favorite I love this place. Non pros very nice looking ones. Only saw working girls there once (Sosua quality)most girls are there with their boyfriends.
Spice its by the American Casino first left after entering main (north entrance)to Playa Dorada.This place alot more single chics its closer to the road and the Barrio so I think it attracts more of the regular crowd. I left there 5am and there was girls still coming in hollering Papi Papi so there was working girls here and the other girls there were friendlier than the other bars.
Keep in mind bars are also scattered on the Malecon opposite of beach and one block in from that.
One thing too instead of cruising the Malecon by day turn right by Crystals and go into that Barrio. Its kind of hidden (its between Playa Dorado and the Malecon)but there is girls everywhere in there and no gringos but not for faint of heart. Just don't turn into dirt alley its probably dead end.
In a pinch ask a motorconcho to take you to a big disco in Puerto Plata(then follow in your car) they are also scattered but most are no more than couple blocks from the water.
One of my favorite is down by the ships. Past Anoeca then left 100 yards.
If you keep your eyes peeled the disco by FOD El Campito one guy had the name correct is busy sometimes then again that small town half way inbetween has large disco. One often looked over is right near the airport the town that was built for the Charmico evacuees. There is a large bar on the Puerto Plata west side of the village right near the road.
