President Leonel Fernandez and First Lady Margarita Cedeno are expected to attend the opening of Ikea in Santo Domingo this Wednesday. The new store will be the first Ikea in Latin America. The Swedish furniture and home decoration store is expected to set new standards for shopping in Santo Domingo and strengthen the city's positioning as the new shopping capital of the Caribbean.
