At 7:21 of the second quarter, Al Horford has made Dominican sports history. Stan Van Gundy, the coach of the Eastern Conference NBA All-Star team called Horford's number and sent him out to the hardwood. Al Horford became the first Dominican to appear in an NBA All-Star game, a game that was won by his team 141-139 on two free throws in the final few seconds. An amazing 108,713-strong crowd was at the Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas to watch the spectacle. Miami's Dwyane Wade was the MVP, but the real winner was the enormous stadium and the crowd that applauded their record-breaking achievement.
