THOUGHT WE COULD USE THIS NEW TOPIC
FOR INSIGHTS AND FUN READING-

SO I'LL START OFF WITH ONE IDEA.

IF GIRL SAYS PAY ME WHAT EVER YOU WANT AND YOU THINK
YOU'LL GET HER AT A BARGAIN WITH NO HASSLE- LEARN YOUR LESSSON
OR TAKE SOME ADVISE.

MOST TIMES IT IS BETTER TO COME TO AGREEMENT BEFORE HAND SO THAT YOU DON'T HAVE SOMEONE UNHAPPY AND TRYING TO PLAY
YOU FOR MORE. LIKE YOU THINK 25.00 AND SHE IS TRYING TO GET 125.00. HAPPENEND TO ME.

if girl is trying to get you to take her back that is sure sign to
maybe run the other way or get it up front. if she is supper
sweet and not asking for anything then maybe you could
go to hotel without saying anything. but in DR i'd get it up front.

p.s. if girl says whatever you want is expensive- better find out what
she means. your ideas of expensive to her might be different.

i have taken girls back in costa rica without taking price; just asking want to go to my place. And i might do it there again; it is nice sometimes
not to negotiate; But i might just get ok with what i want to give before activites start there. In DR you don't have as much hotel staff around to get you out of jam so i'd play different there- and that's what it is all
about isn't it -play time..........................

guess this didn't post subject to main page sorry- but here is good enough for now.

? anyone ever have attempted robbery from motorcycle taxis?
i am a little leary of riding on back of those things and night and the guy trys to take me to see his buddy's who are waitng for me to rob me..

2nd ? anyone ever have robberry/attempt walking at night from beach
area/ rocco's to europa or palace in case i don't want to risk my
life even though small risk on motoconcho?

to me sosua seems safer walking around at night than san jose
what are your thoughts..

p.s. let's try to increase quality of this board by giving good details
when giving advise here to our mates. The little details can guide us.
I'm amazed sometimes when i see like 30-40 posts and it is only on one page. check out

www.costaricaticas.com

and you'll some good details. we can have the same or better here and
enjoy our selves.

disfrutar la vita

well i have never had a problem on my trips to Sosua...i know that some problems exist there, but shit, you'll have the same problems here in the states...so you can get robbed ANYWHERE....i just try to stay positive, open minded and my focus is on the chicas, BUT if a problem comes my way, then of course i just have to handle it

The tourist thievery in Sosua is practically nil. If the Tourist Police ever find the thief-and it's a small town and they WILL find a thief, because everybody fears the Tourist Police, and know they BETTER rat the thief out-they will beat the fucking s#it outta them and THEN take them to jail.

DT and I saw a moto driver get the s#it beat outta him in front of Domino by the Police. A good bud of mine who got ripped off by a girl (while he slept) made one phone call and the girl spent a couple of weeks in jail.

Just be smart and aware, and nothing will happen to you.

Many of us have regular moto guys and taxi guys we use. Best bet is to use them as well and your problems will be far rewer.

I try to use the motoconchos I know......and if I don't recognise any, I go with the older guys.

In Puerto Plata though, the motoconchos can be far more dangerous. I've heard a lot of stories from girls who got robbed by motos in Puerto Plata. Especially at night. When we are in the barrio at noght, we usually take a cab out of there instead of a concho, because they tell me the conchos can be criminals. Ofcourse often, the girl knows a concho personally and then it's OK.

Be safe, hire a taxi. Don't risk it by being cheap at night in Puerto Plata.

Having said that, I had some great fun racing around in POP at 4 AM on the back of a concho, going wayyyyyyy too fast, passing police cars and shit. Very dangerous, but a lot of fun!

The only trouble i ever had in the DR was when I was, drunk, with a chica I didn't know and got on a moto concho that the girl picked. They tried to extort $$$ from me and it got nasty. He was her chulo/dealer. I broke a few rules that night and learned a hard lesson. Luckily no harm done, to me anyway

Be careful of the chicas who rub up against you or grab your crotch etc.... some are just going for your money the easy way... picking your pocket.
