At least ten people dead, mostly women and at least one baby. Not monger related, but some mongers drive on that highway and others take gua guas to boca chica. At about the 5 minute mark of the video they start showing the dead bodies after they were pulled from the sea.

Wow, always tough to watch...especially the little baby. But, like their Haitain neighbors the Dominicans seem to always to volunteer to assist emergency efforts....vs awaiting for La Polica (I think I only saw one police officer).

I've been on that road in GUA GUA. They are packed especially in the early evening when people are leaving out of S D. I hope the Gov. puts ups some type of "Jersey wall" to prevent this from happeing again.

In San Christobal when you call the P.N. they ask you hay droga, hay muertos, if not they do not show up at all, the only thing they do, is they pull you over for no reason and want you to pay a fine.

On my way to the airport monday my driver pointed out the location of the accident. Rumor has it the gua gua was racing another one, as they often do, to get to customers sooner. They had a front tire blow out and skidded off the road.

I read in one of the reports about this accident that a motoconchista had his moto stolen while he was helping the victims.
