Sobeida Felix Morel's lawyer has asked television journalist Alicia Ortega to refrain from broadcasting an interview with 2 of the fugitive's young children because their mother had objected. In a file that was filed as an appeal for an injunction against the broadcast, lawyer Felix Humberto Portes Nunez asked the prosecutor of the Court for Boys, Girls and Adolescents to order a halt to the broadcast of any interview with the minors.
Ortega says that their father Eddy Brito had authorized the interview with the children, but it was done without the consent of the mother, Sobeida Felix Morel.
Portes Nunez did not explain how the fugitive had informed him of her opposition to the broadcast of the interview.
The lawyer says that Alicia Ortega interviewed the children, who are 4 and 9 years of age, on 16 February.
Sobeida disappeared after being released on bail, following the separate escapes of Jose Figueroa Agosto and his wife Leavy Nin Batista.
