The PLD has given 4 senate slots to the PRSC as part of the alliance process that is beginning to come together after several months of negotiation. The provinces reserved for the PRSC nominees for senate seats are La Altagracia, Samana, Sanchez Ramirez and Elias Pina. The candidates for senator for these provinces will be proposed at the PRSC General Assembly on 24 February. Meanwhile, both parties designated Margarita Alvarez, former PRSC leader Jacinto Peynado's widow, as their candidate for deputy mayor of the National District.
PLD electoral commission president Alejandrina German said that "the agreement is a sure thing" and that today they will firm up the agreement on the alliance after agreeing on nominees to deputations and some municipal posts.
PRSC general secretary Rogelio Genao told reporters that the negotiations would end today despite the fact that only a third of the elective posts at the municipal level have been discussed.
