166,235 Dominicans living overseas can vote in the next congressional and municipal elections. They will be able to vote at the voter registration locales that will serve as polling stations in the elections.
The registered voters, who form part of the Dominican diaspora, are registered at 358 of the 13,250 voting stations located all over the country, which represents 2.72% of the polling stations.
In the United States, the country with the highest number of Dominicans registered to vote, 115,456 voters can exercise their right to vote in the congressional and municipal elections: 60,473 in New York, 15,686 in New Jersey, 11,358 in Boston, 12,140 in Puerto Rico, 10,516 in Miami, 2,762 in Philadelphia, 1,180 in Washington DC, 829 in Orlando, 445 in Tampa and 67 in Virginia.
In Europe, the country with the largest number of registered Dominican voters is Spain. They form part of the 6,116,397 people who can vote in these elections. There are 33,746 registered voters in Spain, with 23,628 in Madrid alone, and another 10,118 in Barcelona.
