Some guys have had trouble finding the above establishment and although there have been a number of helpful posts I thought another one would not hurt.

Do not take a taxi direct to Ana Mirian. The cab driver will receive a commission and this will be added to your check.

First make your way to Parque Central. Puerto Plata is not much better than a sprawling shanty town but Parque Central is its center as much as any place.

In one corner of the Parque Central is the church/cathedral and almost facing its front entrance across the street is Banco Popular.

Stand in front of the Banco Popular and face the church. Then turn right and walk south with the mountain in the distance.

I am not sure of the name of any of the streets because city maps all differ but street names will not help you anyway as any street furniture has been stolen and sold for scrap metal decades ago. Street signs in Puerto Plata are as rare as virgins in Classico’s.

To confirm you are going in the right direction you will see this building on your right after the bank.

After the next block turn to your right and walk down this street (a gentle downward slope).

You will see the SKY neon sign at the bottom though it may or may not be lit up at night.

Before you reach the end of this street and the SKY sign, turn left at the Tienda Lucesita.

The next building but one is Ana Mirian (the orange building). It used to have strings of little lights on the façade but I did not notice if these are still there on my most recent visit.
